I have lived in an rv 6mo. very harsh winter, and primarily used this to power entire 25ft rv. The generator has lasted much longer than I expected running average of 10hrs EVERYDAY. Here are some tips; make sure the fuel mix is just right, maybe a bit less on oil mix. The regular maintence is ok, but, really, just brush off sparkplug and occasionally tweek the carb screw settings, according to weather and load. runs best and only with choke on some in sub-freezing temps. Ground it just to be safe. its capable of sitting in the elements. DO NOT overload it, and use circuit breakers or so capable powerstrips...for extended use... The circuit breakers on unit blew on mine, still runs, replace easy. the sparkplug cord will need replaced. Most important. this generator will accumulate oil in the muffler as it burns out as vapor in exhaust. remove exhaust, drain it clean it, and its runnin like new again. (Posted on 2/26/10)

Had one of these for 3yrs now. Starts easy runs for a long time on a gallon of gas. Has kept the lights on in several power outages and is great for power in the yard where extension cords don't reach. Gets used a lot. (Posted on 7/1/09)

We have owned one of these for a ouple o f years, use it primarily for camping.
However during power outages it will run the TV, some lights and a fan.
Recently loaned it to a neighbor for his medical breathing treatments during extended power outage due to a storm. It worked fine, did the job well! (Posted on 5/21/09)
